Master of Business Administration (M.B.A):

Owing to unprecedented competition in the marketplace today, the need to understand consumer desires and cater to them has become the norm of existence and survival in business. Thus, the necessity for enterprising managers with a global vision arises. Management education has received a great boost in the post-globalisation era. Premier institutes have descended upon the scenario with programmes aimed at carving out all-rounded personalities who can confidently walk through the portals of the corporate world.
The department of management studies offers M.B.A on Full Time and Part Time basis.
The courses offered in the department are flexible and students are permitted to choose any stream of specialization in the third and fourth semester of study. The students are also members of AIMA.

Duration: Full Time : 2 Years and Part Time : 3 Years

Eligibility: Applicants should have at least a three-year Bachelors degree in any discipline obtained through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as eligible for postgraduate studies. Preference will be given to students who have work experience in case of part time.

Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A):

The main aim of this course is to enable the students to become familiar with the structure, function and architecture of computers, computer software languages and Computer applications. It also trains them to apply this knowledge in business and industry and promotes leadership qualities and managerial skills in them. The department aims at producing IT Professionals to compete with the international standards.
All Students of MCA are members of Computer Society of India, Chennai Chapter.

Duration: Three years for Full time and Part Time programs and two years full time on lateral entry basis for B.E.,/B.Tech., students.

Eligibility: The minimum eligibility is a pass in the qualifying degree. Applicants should have atleast a three year Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science/ BCA /Mathematics / Statistics / B.Com / B.E., / B.Tech or any other Degree Examination having Mathematics as one of the subjects of study or to have studies Mathematics in Higher Secondary as optional Subject.
Candidates appearing for the final Bachelor’’s degree examination can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to provisionally join the program only if they submit a certificate latest by August of the year of admission from the Principal / Registrar of their College / Institute, stating that they have appeared for the examinations (including practicals) in all the subjects required for obtaining the Bachelor’’s degree. Further, they must produce the mark sheet and certificate of having passed the Bachelor’’s degree before the registration date of the second term in October of the year of admission. Non-fulfillment of these requirements will automatically result in the cancellation of provisional admission. Candidates with relevant managerial work experience are especially encouraged to apply.

M.S, (By research) / Ph.D Programs (3 years duration)

The University offers a special postgraduate program involving course work and research leading to an M.S Degree (by Research). A student admitted to the M.S Program, will be guided by a Research Committee. (This is offered to candidates working in Academic / Research Institutions and Industries)

COURSES OFFERED AT DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOTHERAPY

Course Description- The Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree is a full time study that extends for a period of four academic years comprising of 8 semesters and six months of compulsory Internship. 
Eligibility-
A Pass in 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects is needed / or its equivalent. Students with H.S.C. vocational group are not permitted to join the course. Maximum age as on 1st July of the year of admission is 17 years. 
Master of Physiotherapy:
After successful completion of bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy, one can take a PG program in physiotherapy with specialty. The objective of this program is to make the physiotherapist to take one of these challenging positions like Consultant, Teacher, Researcher, and Clinician etc. During the course students will be taught how to assess and diagnose a particular problem, then to plan and administer programs that aim to restore or minimize dysfunction after disease or injury. The students get a chance to learn about how to offer service to clients of all ages, diverse backgrounds and conditions that come under cardiothoracic, Neurological, Orthopedic & sports specialty and many more.

Scope of Physiotherapy (Physical Therapy):
Though Physical Therapy falls under Allied Health Sciences, it is a separate entity by itself. In addition to its scope in India, it has an overwhelming response abroad. The field of Physiotherapy ranks first in the corporate ladder especially in Canada and also in US, UK, Australia, New Zealand and other developed Countries. There is sufficient evidence that physiotherapy plays a vital role in the Health Care System. A leading Professional agazine, which was published in UK, has quoted – “The importance of Physiotherapy in the Health Care System and its enormous placement availability. In order to meet the ideal Patient- Therapist Ratio, the US government has passed a health legislation stating a greater need for more medical professionals, especially Physical Therapist.

The science of microbiology deals with many aspects of human life including medicine, health, food safety, environment and food industry.
